Your baby on our giant water lily

Every year, Meise Botanic Garden provides a fairy-tale setting: a unique baby photoshoot on the gigantic leaves of the giant water lily. These impressive leaves, with a diameter of more than two meters, form a unique, natural and unforgettable setting for your most beautiful baby photos.

Only in the summer months, when the giant water lilies in our Plant Palace reach their peak, do we offer babies up to one year old the chance for this unforgettable photo.

This special experience is also made possible by our regular partner Weleda. Driven by a shared passion for nature, biodiversity and protection, Plantentuin Meise and Weleda join forces.

Dates

• Wednesday 17 June between 10 am and 5.30 pm.
• Wednesday 24 June between 10 am and 5.30 pm.
• Wednesday 8 July between 10 am and 5.30 pm.
• Wednesday 15 July between 10 am and 5.30 pm.
• Wednesday 5 August between 10 am and 5.30 pm.
• Wednesday 12 August only between 10 am and 1 pm.

Conditions

• Only for babies up to 12 months.
• Twins (and multiples) can be together on 1 ticket. They can also be photographed together.
• photo together with your baby with the giant water lilies in the background.
• Maximum 2 supervisors per family.
• You may only take photos with your smartphone, and only as long as it does not disturb the photographer.

Ticket purchase

Tickets will be available from Thursday 23 April at 9am.

• You buy 1 ticket. This includes the photo shoot, admission for 2 adults (and baby + brothers/sisters) and a €10 discount on the purchase of photo prints via the photographer's website.
• At the end of your photo session, we will also provide a moment for a nice family photo
• Price: € 56
• Price € 45 for holders of a Friends Card.Please note the time slot to be reserved! 

Practical info

• Be on time: there are strict appointment times for the photo shoot.
• If your chosen time slot is, for example, 10 am - 10.15 am, your photo shoot will effectively take place between 10 am and 10.15 am.
• Present yourself 15 minutes before the start of your photo session at the main entrance of the Plant Palace. In the example above, this would be at 9.45 am.
• Keep in mind that you need about 10 minutes to walk from the Empress Charlotte Entrance (Nieuwelaan) to the Plant Palace. Follow the arrows from the entrance.
• You bring your own blanket to use on the water lily.
• The reservation is only valid once the parents have completed the consent form. You will receive the link to this form together with your ticket.
