As night falls around Halloween, the dark heart of Botanic Garden Meise awakens. Pass beneath the dreamcatchers… and step into a shadowy world. Behind every tree and within the depths of the cellar, your worst nightmares are lurking. Can you handle the suspense, or will you be consumed by the shadow realm?

Wander off the beaten path and embark on a spine-chilling 3-kilometer trail through eerie woods, past terrifying figures, and into the hair-raising cellars of the Orangery…

Scary Night Halloween tour - practical

When 

• 30 & 31 October, and from 4 until 6 November 2026
• You reserve a time slot between 6pm and 9:30pm.
• The time slot is the hour at which you start the Scary Night.
• Take your time to complete the trail. The Botanic Garden does not close until 11:45 p.m.

For whom 

• Recommended from 12 years onwards!
• Please note that the trail is not suitable for wheelchairs.
• Strobe lights are used and the course runs sometimes through narrow spaces.
• Keep this in mind if you are sensitive to it, there is no alternative course.

Prices of the Scary Night 

Food and drink

• At the beginning and at end of the Scary Night Walk, you can enjoy a snack or a drink at the Restaurant Pachthof, located next to the Castle.

• The Restaurant Pachthof closes at 11:30 PM (last drink at 11:15 PM).

Parking

The standard parking fee is €7*. Exit tickets can be purchased at the following locations:

• at the ticketmachine in the parking lot
• at the ticketmachine on the Welcome Square
• at the ticket counter
• via contactless payment at the barrier upon exiting

Short-term parking (Kiss & Ride) of up to 30 minutes is free. The Kiss & Ride zone is located in the car park, behind the canopy. License plate recognition will automatically open the barrier when exiting within this time.

Garden Shop

The Garden Shop remains open until 9:30 p.m. Upon presentation of your parking ticket, you will receive a 3.5 euro discount in the Garden Shop (with a minimum purchase of 5 euros).

Discount tickets

• MuseumPassMusées, Brussels Card or other discount cards do not apply during this event.
• Holders of a Friends Card (annual pass) will receive a discount.

• The Friends discount is strictly personal to Friends of the Botanic Garden
• Log in to your account to purchase your tickets with Friends Pass discount.
• Please note that the friends Pass must be valid at the time of purchase of your ticket and at the time of the Scary Night.

**Residents of Meise

• As a resident of Meise, you are entitled to a Friends Card and accompanying discount at this event.
•  Please note, you must be able to present your Friends Card at the entrance gates.
• Do not wait until the evening itself to pick up your Friends Card do this in advance and avoid long queues at the box office. 

Please note!

• Access only via the Empress Charlotte entrance (Nieuwelaan 38).
• The Meise-Village entrance is closed during the Scary Night.
