Step into a fairy-tale light spectacle that springs from the spark of the Big Bang — the moment it all began — and discover how life on Earth evolved from the wondrous diatoms and graceful magnolias to today’s breathtaking floral splendor: the crown of millions of years of natural wonder.

Stroll through the illuminated greenhouses, past the elegant Balat Greenhouse, through the magical fairy-tale forest, and on to the castle.

Enjoy the winter lights, warm sounds, and the cozy company of family and friends during Floridylle, the light festival that makes the history of nature shine — from stardust to blossom.

The light festival runs from 18 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

Floridylle tickets

Tickets are only available via the botanic garden's website and ticket office. Reserve a time slot between 5.30 pm and 9 pm for your visit to start. The grounds remain open until 11 pm. 

Discount cards (Museumpas, Brussels Card, etc.) are not valid during events. Friends of the botanic garden do receive a discount.

Food and drink 

At the end of your walk, you can enjoy a bite to eat and a drink at the new Restaurant Pachthof and at the cozy foodtrucks in the winter village.

Garden shop

Our Garden Shop is also open in the evenings during Floridylle. Browse through delicious artisan products, plants, books, toys and gardening supplies. Go home with a nice gift for yourself or find the ideal end-of-year gift.

* Residents of Meise
As a resident of Meise, you are entitled to a free Friends Card. The discount for Friends of the Botanic Garden is strictly personal and only applies if you have a Friends Card that is active at the time of the event. Don't have a Friends Card yet? Then drop by the Botanic Garden ticket office in advance to have one made. 

** Parking tickets

Parking tickets can be purchased at the following locations:

• at the parking machine in the car park
• at the ticket machine on the Welcome Square
• at the ticket office
• contactless payment when leaving the car park

Short-term parking (kiss & ride) is free of charge. This kiss & ride zone is located in the car park, behind the canopy. The barrier opens automatically via number plate recognition if you leave the car park within 30 minutes.
