Discover Meise Botanic Garden with Your Students

Meise Botanic Garden offers students and lecturers in higher education a unique combination of nature, science and education. Explore exceptional plant collections, world-class scientific research, state-of-the-art research facilities and extensive educational expertise in one of Europe’s largest botanic gardens. Meise Botanic Garden works closely with universities and colleges. Students can complete part of their studies in an inspiring environment where science, biodiversity and hands-on learning come together.

When visiting the Botanic Garden, lecturers can choose from a range of educational activities tailored to different fields of study and academic levels. Alternatively, groups may opt for a self-guided visit, allowing students to explore the collections, greenhouses and extensive grounds at their own pace. Looking for a guided experience? Our visitor programme also offers guided tours led by experienced guides.

We recommend allowing at least half a day for your visit. To make the most of the experience, a full-day visit is ideal, giving students ample time to explore the Garden at a relaxed pace. Groups are welcome to use the picnic areas at the Pachthof and the Orangery. While no dedicated catering service is available for educational groups, students may enjoy a drink or meal at the Pachthof Restaurant, subject to availability.

Browse our activities and rates, make your selection and submit your booking request through the application form. To ensure smooth planning, reservations should be made at least four weeks in advance. Advance booking is also required for self-guided visits.
