I am a Research Scientist in Conservation and Seed Bank Manager at Meise Botanic Garden. My work focuses on the scientific development of the seed bank to safeguard wild plant diversity ex situ and support its long-term conservation in the wild.

My research background is in plant community and functional ecology, with a particular focus on the ecological processes and plant traits shaping species distribution and coexistence in temperate ecosystems. At Meise Botanic Garden, my research interests focus on the adaptive potential of ex situ collections for climate-resilient plant restoration, including the reintroduction and reinforcement of threatened species of the Belgian flora, and on their value as temporal archives for studying plant responses to global change
