The Native Plant Garden is more than just a garden; it is a living catalogue of our country’s flora. Spread across 22 different habitats – from coastal dunes to Ardennes forests – we have brought together more than 600 native plant species here. This represents no less than a fifth of all wild plant species in our region.
Special attention is given to our most endangered plants; 175 of the planted species are on the Red List. These include: arnica, mountain everlasting, zinc pansy, greater butterfly orchid, parnassia, round-leaved sundew and brome of the Ardennes. You can spot rare plants straight away by their distinctive red labels. What’s more, the garden offers plenty of inspiration to get started at home and transform your own garden into an ecological paradise where bees and butterflies can thrive.
