Whether you enjoy a brisk walk or prefer to explore the tropical greenhouses at your leisure, there is always something beautiful in bloom here.
What does your day look like?
You decide the pace and content of your visit. Choose the formula that best suits your group:
- Explore on your own: stroll through the themed gardens at your leisure, admire the tropical plants in the Plant Palace or seek out the coolness of the historic castle grounds.
- Book a guide: Would you like to hear the wonderful stories behind the plants? Book a private guide for your group. Our experts will take you past the hidden gems of the Botanic Garden and share facts that you won't hear anywhere else.
- Check the calendar: There is always something to do! From temporary exhibitions and seasonal walks to interactive workshops and events. Check our calendar to see what's on the programme.

Group visit rates
Groups of 15 people or more have priority in the Botanic Garden and enjoy an attractive discount rate. Friends card holders who book a guided tour for a small group (< 15 people) enjoy a 10% discount.
Individual discounts are not applicable to online group bookings.
*Are you visiting the Botanic Garden with a small group without a guide? Then you do not need to book in advance and can go directly to the ticket office with your discount card, if applicable. Activities that you choose from our calendar can be booked via the calendar. Admission to the Botanic Garden is then included.
Booking a visit for your group
If you would like a guided tour or a visit without a guide, in combination with a group lunch or the electric train, you must book your visit at least 4 weeks in advance. Especially in spring and autumn, it is important to book early!
After receiving your request, we will send you a quote. Once the Botanic Garden receives your signed confirmation of booking, your reservation is final.
