Are you also a fan of roses? Have you acquired a taste for them and would you like to plant roses in your flower beds? Wouter, the gardener who puts his heart and soul into creating and maintaining the Rose Garden, tells you everything you need to know to make the queen of flowers shine in your own garden.
Theory
The demonstration starts with a bit of theory. It's all about planting correctly: pruning when planting, soil improvement, the right location, how to plant roses and how to combine them with perennials. Wouter also shows you which pruning equipment is best and explains the difference between historic once-flowering roses and modern repeat-flowering varieties. Well begun is half done!
Pruning and training demonstration
In the Rose Garden, Wouter will show you how to prune and train roses. With clear explanations and practical examples, he will demonstrate how to prune, train and tie up roses, adapted to different rose groups: modern cultivars, climbing roses and historic roses.
