An enchanting escapade: Escape the hustle and bustle and step into a magical, fairytale setting. The light poetically highlights nature and brings peace and wonder for a warm, magical moment with family and friends.
Practical information
- Date: December 16, 2026 to January 2, 2027.
- Route: A magical walk of 3 kilometers, fully accessible for wheelchair users and strollers.
- Winter Village: Start and/or end your evening in our cozy Winter Village with food trucks, drinks, and a warm atmosphere.
- Access: Only via Empress Charlotte Entrance (Nieuwelaan 38). Meise-Dorp Entrance is closed.
Tickets
Reserve your time slot (between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.) via our website or at the ticket counter. The grounds remain open until 11:15 p.m.
Discount cards (Museumpas, Brussels Card, etc.) are not valid during events. Friends of the botanic garden do receive a discount.

FAQ's
What are the opening hours from Floridylle?
For day visitors, the Botanic Garden closes at 5 p.m. From 5.30 p.m., the gates open for the Floridylle Light festival. You can then only enter via the Empress Charlotte Entrance with a valid ticket for the light festival. The grounds close at 11:15 p.m.
How long is the light festival walk?
The walking tour is about 3 kilometres long.
Is the light festival trail accessible for everyone?
Yes, for all, for romantic walkers, groups of friends, families… The whole trail is extremely suitable for children and accessible for wheelchair users. You also go through the Plant Palace.
What to wear?
You want to enjoy the enchanting atmosphere. Bear in mind that the roads of the domain can be muddy. Walking shoes or rubber boots are therefore a good idea, as are warm clothes. Don't forget your umbrella if it rains.
Can I bring my dog?
Do not bring your pet along. Only guide dogs are allowed on the Domain.
** How to reach Meise Botanic Garden?
Do you want to arrive completely relaxed in the Botanic Garden? Take your bike, the bus, the train or come by foot. Or carpool with some friends. The number of parking places in the surroundings of the Botanic Garden is limited.
Free parking
- Brusselsesteenweg (Meise) parking areas.
- The carpool parking at the intersection of Bouchoutlaan and Nieuwelaan.
Paid parking
- The new parking lot opposite the entrance of the Botanic Garden (500 spaces).
- The parking fee is €7.
- Tickets (exit cards) can be purchased:
- at the ticket machine in the parking lot
- at the ticket machine on the Welcome Square
- at the ticket counter (open until 21:30)
- via contactless payment at the barrier when exiting
Please note again: parking on the roadway is not allowed!
Do not park on muddy verges (risk of getting stuck). You’ll find a map with all available parking areas attached.
What about rain or snow?
In rainy or snowy weather, the Floridylle will also take place. Wrapped up warm and wearing suitable footwear will make the magic of the dazzling lights in the Botanical Gardens even more special.
Can tickets be exchanged?
Tickets can neither be revoked, refunded, replaced nor extended. Please contact our information desk for any further problem: info@meisebotanicgarden.be
Is the Gardenshop open during the WinterFloridylle?
During Floridylle you can visit our cosy Garden Shop at the Empress Charlotte Entrance (Nieuwelaan 38). You will find original gifts and delights for your festive table. It promises to be a wonderfully tasty edition! Get a chance to win a Weleda product package with every purchase in the Garden Shop. The Garden shop closes at 11:30 pm.

A cosy experience at the Pachthof
You’re very welcome to visit the cosy Winter Village at the Pachthof, both before and after your walk. It’s the perfect meeting place to catch up with family and friends before the magical Floridylle adventure begins, or to round off the evening together whilst reminiscing about the day’s events. Treat yourself to a delicious drink at the Pachthof Restaurant or discover the tasty treats on offer at the atmospheric food trucks.
- The Winter Village closes at 11.00 pm.
- The last snacks and drinks are served at 10.45 pm.
A cosy break at the Oranjerie Bar
Do you fancy a lovely warm drink during your magical journey? Pop into the Oranjerie Bar and enjoy a heart-warming jenever, a steaming hot chocolate or a delicious fresh hot waffle whilst you’re out and about.
How to keep it pleasant for everyone?
Please help us to keep the Botanic Garden clean. Do you still have rubbish? Throw it in the dustbins or take it with you. Do not touch the light installations and do not move any crush barriers or signposts. Everyone after you also wants to enjoy the depicted trail.

Kiss&Ride
Short-term parking (kiss & ride) is free of charge. This kiss & ride zone is located in the car park, behind the canopy. The barrier opens automatically via number plate recognition if you leave the car park within 30 minutes.
