The theme "The Chemistry of Light: Photosynthesis" inspired 38 artists 50+ for this expo. Photosynthesis is the miraculous process by which plants convert and store solar energy as sugars and produce oxygen - essential for all life around us.
Start the expo at the Castle and discover how this natural mechanism works. Afterwards, head into the Domain. Be surprised by the works of art, harmoniously interwoven with flowers, plants and trees. Thus photosynthesis becomes tangible and a fascinating dialogue between art and science is created.
The 'Biennale Cultuurvuur' is a biennial art trail in the BotanicGarden. It is a collaboration between Meise BotanicGarden and CULTUURVUUR vzw, which provides a platform for creative artists aged 50 and over to showcase and share their work.
