Neatly arranged

Cronquist Garden

The Cronquist Garden offers an overview of the extraordinary diversity of herbaceous flowering plants. Around 1,300 plants are arranged by family according to the 20th century scientific insights of two botanists; the American, Arthur Cronquist and the Russian, Armen Takhtajan.

It is especially lovely  in spring and summer when most of the plants are in full bloom. In autumn, asters and other late-flowering plants are the eye-catchers. The 19th century ornate Balat Greenhouse completes the picture.
