By bike
Via the bicycle network (https://www.vlaanderen-fietsland.be/nl/routeplanner) you can map out a beautiful route in the direction of Meise Botanic Garden.
Junctions 40 and 41 are situated near the Botanic Garden. There is a bicycle shed at each entrance.
Opposite the Empress Charlotte Entrance (Nieuwelaan 38), you’ll find a parking area with bicycle racks and a convenient repair station. Perfect for quick fixes on the go – making it even easier to visit the Botanical Garden by bike. You will also find lockers there; both large ones to store your backpack and small ones to charge your battery.
Arriving by bus
You can easily reach us by De Lijn buses. Line R50 (Brussels-North - Meise - Londerzeel) stops right in front of the main entrance (stop Plantentuin Meise).
There is a bus service every 15 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays, and every 30 minutes on Sundays and public holidays. Plan your route here.
Arriving by train
Take the train to Brussel-Noord or Londerzeel station.
Go to NMBS for the most recent travel information.
At the station, take bus R50, which will take you to the main entrance of the Botanic Garden. For more information go to www.delijn.be.
Combi ticket
Good to know: with the ticket "Brupass XL" you can travel in and around Brussels with one single ticket that is valid for all 4 public transport companies (MIVB-STIB, NMBS-SNCB, TEC en De Lijn). Ideal if you want to reach Meise by public transport from Brussels.

By car
Meise Botanic Garden is situated along the A12 (Brussels-Antwerp). Take exit 3 Meise. Parking is available at the Empress Charlotte entrance.
The parking fee is €7. Exit tickets can be purchased at the following locations:
- at the ticketmachine in the parking lot
- at the ticketmachine on the Welcome Square
- at the ticket counter
- via contactless payment at the barrier upon exiting
Upon presentation of your parking ticket, you will receive a 3.5 euro discount in the Garden Shop (with a minimum purchase of 5 euros).
Short-term parking (Kiss & Ride) of up to 30 minutes is free. License plate recognition will automatically open the barrier when exiting within this time.
The parking is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Exiting is possible until 6:30 p.m. For clients of meet@meisebotanic, the parking hours are adjusted according to the duration of the event or meeting.
If your bus company regularly visits the Botanical Garden, you can purchase a 10-ride pass at the ticket counter for €25.
For Friends of the botanic garden (subscribers), there is a car park pass for 35 euros a year. This pass is strictly personal, can only be purchased with a valid Friends Card of Meise Botanic Garden card and does not guarantee a parking space at peak times.
*When purchasing an item at the Garden Shop, you can buy an exit ticket for €3.50.
Our parking area offers 18 charging stations for electric vehicles, allowing you to conveniently recharge your car during your visit.
Coach parking
Coaches can park in the car park at the Empress Charlotte entrance.
Coaches and buses are allowed to enter the Paid Parking area; the barrier will open automatically.
Under our canopy, at the Kiss & Ride zone, the driver can drop off passengers safely. From there, the group can quickly and safely reach the Welcome Square. The coach/bus then continues (approximately 100 meters) to the designated bus parking area.
Coach/bus fees are the same as car fees (see above).
International visitors
From Brussels Airport we can be reached by a direct De Lijn bus connection (Zaventem-Merchtem line 21).
If you arrive by international train into Brussels-Midi, first take the train to Brussels-North where you will then take a direct bus connection (Line R50) to the main entrance of the Botanic Garden.
