Virtual Workshop

The next meeting will take place on 16-19 May 2022

The Silene vortex : a model system for the study of evolution

Virtual Workshop ~ Meise Botanic Garden ~ 17-20 May 2021

Meise Botanic Garden hosts "The Silene vortex", a scientific workshop that brings together the international community of researchers working on evolutionary biology with the Silene genus as a model, 13 years after the last symposium (Workshop “Silene: from population to genes”, at Monte Verità (Ascona), Switzerland, 4-9/05/2008).

The present meeting will allow presentation of the most recent advances in evolutionary research on Silene, allow inspiration from other plant model systems, and will favour the exchange of knowledge, the development of new research ideas, the sharing of resources and the creation of new collaborative synergies, and reinforce the existing scientific collaborations on Silene.
