Summary

My research focuses on evolution and ecology from a plant trait perspective. During my PhD research I started studying requirements for germination and dormancy of temperate climate herbs. Later on, my research broadened to studying evolution of seed traits and other plant traits across angiosperms using comparative methods. In other projects, plant traits are being studied at the population level using molecular and quantitative genetic methods. Although plant traits are studied across all angiosperms, I have interest in Coffea canephora, wild beans and wild bananas.
