The green oasis of peace in the Botanic Garden also makes it the ideal place to say goodbye to loved ones. You can end the reception with a comforting walk in nature.

Locations in the spotlight  

• Bouchout Castle: 

Bouchout Castle, located in the heart of the Botanic Garden, has several rooms available with a capacity of 10 to 140 people, a roof terrace, and an inner courtyard. The Castle combines grandeur with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. The Empress Charlotte of Mexico was probably its most famous resident. 

• The Balat Greenhouse 

The elegant art nouveau Balat Greenhouse, the oldest conservatory in the country, can be hired for parties of up to 50 people. The greenhouse, which appears in our logo, was designed by Alphonse Balat, architect of the Royal Greenhouses in Laeken. The greenhouse is available from mid-June to mid-October.

• The Traditional Farmhouse “Vlaamse Hoeve” 

This 19th century traditional farm, located near the 'Empress Charlotte' entrance, has recently been beautifully renovated and offers a modern multipurpose room. A perfect location for parties and receptions for up to 80 persons.

• The Plant Palace 

The Plant Palace is an enchanting location for an evening reception. In winter it’s nice and warm inside in between the tropical plants, and you can enjoy summer weather outside under the canopy with a view of the pond and Bouchot Castle. 

• Event Meadows  

Are you planning a meeting or party for more than 200 people? It’s possible to set up marquees on one of our event meadows. A unique location in the middle of nature!

• The Orangery 

The Orangery, formerly the overwintering place for numerous exotic plants and now the restaurant of the Botanic Garden, is a stylish location for your evening event. We also recommend the marquee and the terrace of the Orangery by the beautiful pond. The Orangery offers space for 180 people sitting down and 250 standing up; the marquee offers space for 100 people sitting down and 150 standing up. The Orangery is operated by an external caterer. The Orangery, the restaurant of Meise Botanic Garden (with link to the Orangery), also guarantees delicious culinary suggestions. 

All guests have free access to the whole Botanic Garden for a whole day. How about an exciting adventure with the children on the “Amaze-Your-Feet” Path? A guided tour by one of our experienced guides will also add value to your party. A pleasant surprise! 

We also have an electric train that can take your guests from the entrance to the location and back again.
