The Fruticetum has nothing to do with fruit: it is a unique collection of shrubs and trees that are planted according to the Dahlgren system.
Plants from the same botanic order, for example rose-type plants, are arranged together in sections.
As a result, in the spring, they form one big flowering extravaganza. In the autumn, the Fruticetum provides another beautiful colour spectacular, from ochre yellow to deep red, and an enormous variety of seeds and berries.
