Expo: “Face to Face”
-
11 Nov-31 MarMeise Botanic Garden
The universal image of the Green Man was the inspiration for the mask project "Face to Face". It is a mystery where the Green Man found its origin. The image symbolises the connection with nature and the bond between man and his environment. In these hectic times, it stands for a better balance between man and nature. The artists were asked to create two masks symbolising winter and spring. They are installed facing the visitor. Most of the masks are ceramic. A few artists found inspiration in other materials.
