Ikebana exhibition, 26 - 27/10 2013 | Français | Nederlands
(c) Philippe Desnerck & Laurent Van Steensel
Ikebana developed from early Buddhist rites and evolved in the 16th century into an art. By the beginning of the 19th century, many schools had been established, each with its own philosophy about ikebana.
The Sogetsu school, to which Mrs Atsuko Bersma belongs, was founded in 1927. It focuses on creativity and avant-gardism. This exhibition is by Mrs Bersma and her international students.
